Covenant :)

These are the gentlemen and the ladies I practically grew up with through the years.  Can still remember those times that we had prayer meetings aka sleepovers at the former prayer room now-turned Tabernacle.  We’d pray ‘til midnight and stopped after a neighbor threw a stone at the church’s roof because of the ruckus we made.   In my mind I can still see some of the men in this pic 10 years ago still dressed in their school uniforms.  That long and that old, huh?

Now, we’re all ‘grown up’ as Ate Sal puts it and all dressed up for a good friend, H.’s, wedding. No longer “youth” but thank God for covenant.  Different personalities, backgrounds and interests brought together by One Man – Jesus.:)

Thank You, Jesus, for brothers and sisters in Christ.

Powerful, moving post. Good thing Lydia reblogged this on her site.

A MINIATURE CLAY POT

July 22 – a note of explanation

I’ve tried to leave this post just as it was originally written because it was a heartfelt response after a very traumatic experience.  But I’m sometimes clumsy with words and even when I think I am writing clearly, there is always the reader who doesn’t know my heart or doesn’t hear the words the way they were intended.

I feel as though a few people have taken what I said and twisted it. When I wrote my post on Friday, I had a grand total of eleven blog  followers. Yes, eleven. I generally post on facebook and have had a loyal little group of readers that numbered thirty or so. That is who I generally write for.  People who know me  know that I dislike talking on the telephone. I’d pretty much rather clean a toilet than spend time on the phone. I…

for mitch’s…cat eyes

It was Mitch of Musings of a Queen who pointed out the Cat eye shades of the House of Harlow.  Tonight while I was bloghoppin’, I saw them again.  I guess these pairs are all the rage these days, huh?  Mitch, here goes another pic of them shades that you love.

Do you know how much this House of Harlow pair costs?  In Philippine peso it’s P6,042.69 according to the revolveclothing.com website.  Take that.  The House of Harlow (named after her daughter) was, in fact, started by Nicole Richie and a jeweler in 2008.

I just love their collection of vintage-like pairs of shades.

HAVE A BLESSED AND HAPPY WEEKEND!

fresh fire 2011

Excited.  Eagerly looking forward to having a fresh encounter with God and seeing His promise fulfilled.  He told me: “you’ll get more than what you’ve asked for.”  Uh-oh, something big’s on its way! Jesus, bring it on! I’m excited!

I’m running after You, Jesus, ‘coz I want this to die.  I want You more than this.

I will pursue You, Jesus, with everything that I have, with all that I am ’til everything else fades away, ’til everything else pales in comparison.  Lord, I want my heart to be wholly Yours.

*Challenging times like these are opportunities to draw closer to God.  I think He allows this to happen so we might pursue Him with all our might, strength and heart.*
